YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
We want to develop your entrepreneurial skills intensively and promote creative thinking, analytics and the assumption of operational responsibility. In addition to analyzing and evaluating potential investment targets in the market, our goal is for you to quickly gain operational experience in our portfolio companies. This will make you a better investor in our focus sectors as you develop a real in-depth understanding of the value levers of these business models.
In practice, this means that your role will be variable – you will work on both new investments and operational projects in the portfolio, depending on current needs. For example, you may invest the majority of your time in M&A activities as part of buy/sell processes, but then take on operational responsibility for projects in one of our portfolio companies, e.g. in the areas of finance or corporate development, for a longer period of time.
If you enjoy entrepreneurial work and perform very well, the operational role can also be longer-term – you have the opportunity to pursue a management or entrepreneurial career with us. When and for how long you are in an operational role depends on the opportunities available on the DEDIQ platform and, of course, on your personal strengths and interests. Our platform offers you many learning and development opportunities over the course of your career – if you are prepared to take advantage of them and constantly face new challenges.
YOUR PROFILE
- Approx. 2 years of experience in the fields of strategy consulting, investment banking or start-up/scale-up
- Very good analytical skills, a strong understanding of financial figures and business contexts
- Motivation to work in both operational and strategic fields and to develop innovative solutions
- Completed studies in economics, technology or natural sciences
- Committed team player with a high degree of initiative and independence
- Confident handling of software relevant to the job, such as the MS suite, and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new tools
