We invest only long-term entrepreneurial capital. We invest mainly equity as we do not believe in sustainable value creation through transaction structures. Thereby we can develop companies long-term without pressure to exit early.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Our goal is to develop you into a manager on the DEDIQ platform of portfolio companies who can shape and take operational responsibility for the further development of business models like an entrepreneur. For this reason, it is essential for us that as an Associate you very quickly gain real operational experience in our portfolio companies.

In practice, this means that you will spend at least the first year at DEDIQ working directly in one of our portfolio companies, for example in the areas of finance or corporate development. Here is a brief overview:

  • For a longer period of time (min. 12 months) you will be part of the team of one of our portfolio companies and take responsibility for the implementation of the value creation plan for this company
  • In your operational role, you will focus on the areas of finance (e.g. controlling / corporate management, implementation of a management model) and / or corporate development (e.g. organizational development, implementation of major change and IT projects)
  • In your role, you will already have a creative influence on the company’s development and take on initial responsibility for topics from conception to actual implementation, over time with a growing scope
  • You will support the team in the portfolio company as an important part of the team and not simply as an external consultant or investor from the outside. DEDIQ is an integral part of the portfolio company during the development phase
  • If you enjoy entrepreneurial work and perform very well, the operational role can also be long-term and you can pursue a management or entrepreneurial career
  • Operational experience will also make you a better investor in our focus sectors, as you will develop a real in-depth understanding of the value levers of these business models

Both when and how long you are in an operational role depends on the opportunities available on the DEDIQ platform and, of course, on your personal strengths and interests. Our platform offers you many learning and development opportunities over the course of your career if you are prepared to take advantage of them and constantly face new challenges.

YOUR PROFILE

  • At least 2 years of experience in the fields of strategy consulting, investment banking or start-up/scale-up – we particularly welcome applications from founders
  • Very good analytical skills, a strong understanding of financial figures and business contexts
  • Motivation to work in both operational and strategic fields and to develop innovative solutions
  • Completed studies in economics, technology or natural sciences
  • Committed team player with a high degree of initiative and independence
  • Confidence in using software relevant to the job, such as MS-Suite and ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new tools.
